Meatballs are Back!

Just as sure as Santa Claus comes around in December, the Ultimate Meatball Sub comes back to the Blue Ox. We use big, fat tasty meatballs, Marinara sauce, provolone and parmesan cheeses, along with lettuce, onions banana peppers and a nice vinaigrette. Only available until the end of the month, so stop in to grab one today.

 

Hot Beef is Back

Our Hot Roast Beef fans have been asking about it for a month! So here you go fans. Babe's Hot Beef is back on the menu as of today for only $8.69. So stop in and fill up on comfort food. If you can't stay it is available to go... and of course we can bring you one if you are in our delivery area, Monday- Friday up until 2:30 PM.

 

Apple Sandwich Back Again!

Hey Apple Fans: The Honeycrisp melt is back again for fall. Fresh sliced apples, cream cheese, provolone and sandwich toppings make this sandwich unique, and dang tasty. Get one soon, it only lasts until the apples are gone!

 

Gluten Free Bun Now Available

The Ox has been behind the times on the Gluten Free trend for a few months, primarily because we could not get a product that that we could keep fresh and serve promptly. This month we were able to source a nice 4" bun from Udi's, a leading manufacturer of gluten free items across several categories. The bun comes to us individually wrapped so that it stays fresh and doesn't deteriorate in storage. We are happy to have this option now available for our guests. There is a 75 cent additional charge which just covers the cost of the bun. Almost any of our Classic and Signature sandwiches will fit on the Udi's bun with the exception of the Shore Lunch, which is just plain too big.

 

Welcome Back Banh Mi

The Ox got hungry for some Banh Mi, so it's back on the menu for the summer. In case you forgot, we are cooking up a Vietnamese Pulled Pork with some Five Spice, Lemongrass, Sambal Oelek, Fish Sauce and a few secret ingredients. It all goes on a French Roll with some mayo, cucumbers, fresh jalapenos, fresh cilantro and a generous helping of pickled vegetables. We will add a good dollop of Sri Racha if you like spicy, or leave off for the less spicy among us. It's oh so tasty, and pretty healthy too. The traditional Banh Mi would also include a nice spread of liver pate, but The Ox elected to skip that part; just guessing that not everybody likes liver...
